| TODAY I WANT TO TALK ABOUT A BEAUTIFUL FLOWER THAT THEY HAVE IN THE FLORIST ROSES OF AGAVANZAL THAT IS CALLED ALSTROEMERIA OR LILY OF THE INCAS. Scientific or Latin name: Alstroemeria aurantiaca- Synonym: Alstroemeria aurea- Common or vulgar name: Alstroemeria, Lily of the Incas, Peruvian lily.- Family: Amaryllidaceae (Amariliaceae).- Origin: Chile and Peru.- Etymology: genus dedicated to the Swedish botanist Alstroemer (1736-1796).- Rhizomatous plant with simple and erect stems.- Height: 40 to 80 cm.- Lanceolate leaves.- Yellow or orange flowers. | HOY OS QUIERO HABLAR DE UNA PRECIOSA FLOR QUE TIENEN EN LA FLORISTERIA ROSAS DEL AGAVANZAL QUE SE LLAMA ALSTROEMERIA O LIRIO DE LOS INCAS. Nombre científico o latino: Alstroemeria aurantiaca- Sinónimo: Alstroemeria aurea- Nombre común o vulgar: Alstroemeria, Lirio de los Incas, Azucena peruana.- Familia: Amaryllidaceae (Amariliáceas).- Origen: Chile y Perú.- Etimología: género dedicado al botánico sueco Alstroemer (1736-1796).- Planta rizomatosa con tallos simples y erguidos.- Altura: 40 a 80 cm.- Hojas lanceoladas.- Flores amarillas o anaranjadas. Hay más colores.- Floración en verano, pero a veces en particulares condiciones lo hace también antes o después.- Las flores cortadas duran mucho en el jarrón.- Precaución: es una planta tóxica si se ingiere.- Luz: sol y media sombra.- Temperaturas: en climas fríos proteger en invierno con un acolchado de helechos secos u hojas muertas.- Prefiere suelos profundos, bien drenados.- Plantar con las raíces bien enterradas, profundas, para así obtener flores desde el primer año.- Plantación: en primavera en las regiones del sur, en otoño en las del norte.- Riego frecuente, pero poco copioso; a una media de 2-3 veces a la semana en verano.- Multiplicación: por división de las macollas que aparecen al pie de la planta madre, en primavera en las regiones con clima más fresco y en otoño en las de clima más benigno. Cuidado con las delicadas raíces carnosas. |
